LEGACY

“To state that the son of Chairman Fred Hampton of the Black Panther Party not be allowed at 2337 W. Chairman Fred Hampton Way. Is equivalent to stating that the offspring of Malcolm X not be allowed entry to the Audubon Ballroom. Or the children of Dr. Martin L. King be stopped from coming on the grounds of the Lorraine Motel. To be charged for entering these sacred spaces and Ground Zeros of the Black Community, in particular, is not only an expression of race and class privilege but that of state sanctioned arrogance.”
